Argentina’s presence at the
19th Annual Ottawa Wine and Food Show

For the 11th consecutive year, Argentina participated at the “Ottawa Wine and Food Show”, which took place at the Ottawa Congress Centre.
The following are the Argentine wines that were poured at the show with their tasting notes.

Winery: Fecovita Coop. Ltda.
Website: http://www.fecovita.com/
Agent: Churchill Cellars Ltd.

Marcus James Chardonnay
(LCBO #372672 - $8.30)
Marcus James Chardonnay is made in a mellow, fruit-forward style that doesn't require bottle aging. It has a light golden colour and a warm bouquet of vanilla accented with ripe tropical aromas of pineapple and guava. The wine’s clean finish makes it delicious on its own, and the lush full-fruit flavours also marry well with rich fish dishes, risotto and creamy chicken with leeks.

Marcus James Malbec
(LCBO #518431 - $8.30)
Marcus James Malbec displays subdued aromas of red fruit and almonds, rounded rich flavours and textures, a deep red hue, and a medium-long finish.
This Malbec is a most interesting wine for dinner parties or weekday meals, and it pairs beautifully with long-simmered stews, grilled or roasted meats, and firm aged cheeses.

Marcus James Merlot
(LCBO #336008 - $8.30)
Red fruit aromas of plums and black cherries are backed up by a subtle scent of leather. The wine has pleasant and agreeable flavours without being overly delicate. A clean, pleasant finish balances its medium body and characteristic soft Merlot tannins. Marcus James Merlot definitely shines when served alongside food. Its aroma and flavour profiles suggest diverse pairing from chicken to sausages to beef, or serve it after the meal with a selection of mellow aged cheeses.
