Investment opportunities in the tourism sector in Argentina

From January to April of 2003, more 393,762 tourists arrived at the Ezeiza International Airport (Buenos Aires). This indicates an increase of 46.6%, compared to the same period in 2002. Originating countries and increases from the previous year are as follows:

  • Mexico: 109.2%
  • United States: 45.4%
  • Italy: 55.1%
  • Spain: 51.3%
  • Germany: 28.6%
  • France: 27.2%
  • England: 21.5%
  • Japan: 34.2%

Tourism has become a strategic priority for the current administration, which has implemented active policies to encourage investment in the sector.
